Enable or Disable Internet Explorer Protected Mode

The Internet Explorer’s protected mode is a function to prevent and protect users computer from being installed by the malicious software. Microsoft do recommends users to apply the Protected Mode into their Internet Explorer.

Go to Internet Explorer Tools (or by using keyboard CTRL + X) and select Internet options. Jump to the Security tab. So, in this dialog screen, you will see multiple zones – Internet, Local intranet, Trusted sites and Resticted sites.

Enable or Disable Internet Explorer Protected Mode

Each zones will have their own option to enable or disable the Protected Mode. So, if you want to enable or disable the Protected Mode on all / specific zone, you may need to click on the zone and select/deselect the option “Enable Protected Mode”.

To activate the change, do restart your Internet Explorer.
