Symptom
• The destination of archive log is out of space. The Oracle database cannot store any redo logs onto desired destination.
• The ARCHIVE_LOG_DEST parameter was not set correctly.
Solution
• If the destination of archive log is full, you can remove/delete or copy the archive logs to another place. This is a temporary and quick solution. Then, try to execute archive logs backup to reduce the space utilized. You can also increase the storage space that hold the archive logs if you found that the space is too small to hold the amount of archive logs generated.
• If the ARCHIVE_LOG_DEST was set incorrectly, you need to specify the initialization parameter to point at the right destination.
