rmdir (Windows): The directory is not empty

You are deleting a folder in the Windows environment but end up with following message,

E:\itsiti> rmdir daerafolder
The directory is not empty


Use the option /s to delete the folder together with the sub folders and files inside.

E:\itsiti> rmdir /s daerafolder
daerafolder, Are you sure (Y/N)? Y
