SPAM: CHECK_REQUIREMENTS – TP Cannot Connect System

You are upgrading the support packages using transaction code SPAM or Software Update Manager. During the execution, the process is interrupted due to following error,

SPAM  & SAINT - CHECK_REQUIREMENTS

The error details,

SPAM - TP_CANNOT_CONNECT_SYSTEM

Solution

To figure out the root cause, execute the transaction code SPAM. From the top menu, choose Goto > Action Log.

Most probably, the error is caused of the missing (not readable / inconsistent) with the transport profile. Do check the SAP TMS configuration – You can also hit this error if no STMS is configured in the system.

To get more details, execute the report RSTPTEST from transaction code SE38. The report will check the SAP transport tool and output you if any inconsistencies found.
