How to Start DB2 System Tray in Windows

The DB2 System Tray is only available on Windows operating system. You can use the DB2 System Tray to monitor the status of the local DB2 instance.

So, to start the function, just execute below command, – You can enter the DB2 instance name or leave it blank. If you leave it blank, it will monitor the default local DB2 instance. But, if not instance exists or not found, the function will not be working.

db2systray <INSTANCE-NAME>

Once the command executed, you will see the DB2 System Tray icon at the Windows system tray. The icon will change based on the instance status – shutdown / running state. Additional to this, you can also execute the start and stop command using the DB2 System Tray function.
