You want to increase / decrease the maximum number of hits display while generating table entries or report from SAP system. By default, the value was set to 500.

Option 1
Example, you are querying the table CUVT using transaction code SE16. So, in the report itself, adjust the Maximum No. of Hits value accordingly. Please be noted that the adjustment will only affects on temporary basis – you may need to adjust the value again on the next run report.

Option 2
From the top menu of SAP screen, (Let say you are executing from transaction code SE16) click on Settings > User Parameters (or keyboard button, F6). From here, you can adjust the maximum no of hits accordingly. Aside to this option, there is another option Display max. no. of hits possible and if you are selecting this option (you should leave the value in Maximum No. of Hits to blank) – It will list out all the hits available.

Option 3
Go to Help > Settings.

Under the F4 Help tab, adjust the maximum number of hits to be displayed and press Enter to save. The value will permanently affects to the current user specifically. So, later in future, you do not need to maintain the display hits manually – it will reflected as per this changed. [updated – some users reported that this option won’t affected on transaction code SE16N – only works on SE16]
