Parameter

dbs/dba/ccms_security_level

Short text

Enablement of System-Specific Security Checks for the DBA Cockpit

Parameter Description

This parameter enables or disables system-specific authorization checks for the DBA Cockpit:

• If this parameter is set to ‘1’, only users with authorizations of the S_DBCON authorization object are able to access remote systems from the DBA Cockpit. With the S_DBCON authorization object, access permissions can be granted for each user/system combination separately.

• If the parameter is set to ‘0’, no system-specific authorization checks are in place. Users in the DBA Cockpit only need the authorizations that are granted globally with the S_RZL_ADM authorization object and with the profile parameter dbs/dba/ccms_maintenance.

We recommend that you set the parameter dbs/dba/ccms_security_level to ‘1’ and that you extend the authorizations for administration users to include appropriate authorizations for the S_DBCON authorization object.
