Logical name of an ORACLE database
Parameter Description
This parameter is used to identify the ORACLE database to which an application server is to establish a connection. For a successful database connect, ORACLE SQL*NET V2 needs to be installed, and an appropriate entry with the specified name must exist in the SQL*Net V2 tnsname.ora configuration file. For information on how this configuration file is generated and where it can be stored, refer to the installation documentation.
