Offset for enqueue/wait operations
Parameter Description
If lock operations are repeated, the wait time (by default, 1 second) is reduced or increased by a random offset to avoid deadlocks due to synchronization.
This parameter defines the maximum offset in milliseconds. The wait time between two attempts for the lock operation is then in the period [wait time – offset, wait time + offset]. With the default setting of 400 ms, this is between 0.6 and 1.4 seconds.
