Transaction code ST01 is used to record the internal SAP system activities, SAP System Trace. With this on activation of the trace the user transactions gets captured in to the trace file with information on the program name, table name, records fetched against each SQL command the system performed with the variables according to transactions and values. The following components can be monitored using the SAP system trace:
Authorization checks
• Kernel functions
• Kernel module
• Database accesses (SQL trace)
• Table buffers
• RFC calls
• Lock operations (client side)
Proceed as follows:
1. Switch on the trace and select the required components: Switch Trace On and Off
2. Perform the tasks that lead to the error or problem.
3. Switch off the trace.
4. Evaluate the Trace
