Number of restricted work processes
Parameter Description
Number of work processes that are only available for processing specific tasks. These can be:
• Tasks within the Virtual Machine Container (VMC), for which other dialog work processes are waiting and are therefore blocked (for example, during a shared garbage collection).
• Tasks for which a reservation was previously made.
The number of work processes is not, however, defined for the entire lifetime of the application server, but can be dynamically changed by an operation mode switch.
These reserved process are of type DIA and have the status reserved. They are displayed in the same way as all other processes with transaction SM50.
If there is an active VMC, set up either a dynamic process or a reserved process.
