Pathname for Archive Files
Parameter Description
No longer used as of Release 2.1 D. Prior to this release, specifies the path name for archive files generated with the SAP archiving function (transaction F040). You can select any directory path that you wish. However, you should observe the following two restrictions: Select a locally-mounted directory on the data base server. To ensure data security, you should not specify a directory that is remotely mounted. The file name must be as follows: R+++++++. The archiving function replaces the +-signs with characters according to the naming convention described in the archiving documentation.
Example: /usr/sap/archiv/R+++++++
