RSA1: Create Source System Connection to SAP System

1. In the BW client, execute transaction code RSA1. On the left panel, select Source Systems. Then, on the right panel, right click on SAP and select Create.

2. At this stage, you may need to supply the connection RFC connection of the BW system to source system. Also, user and password from each system is required. You can create the SM59 connection and user manually on both system. Default user used is ALEREMOTE for source system and BWREMOTE for BW system.

3. You will receive below notification – just click Enter and login to the source system.

4. Click Continue.

5. The next screen will be connection parameter (SM59) of the source system. You must ensure both connection and authorization test are working fine. Once tested fine, you click on Exit.

6. Choose “Replicate As Well” . *Advisable to consult with your BW consultant on the selection.

7. Select how the creation the object in BW – *Please consult with your BW personal.

8. You will just have to wait now. The configuration should be complete within 5 minutes.
