How to Change Object Buffering Type in SNRO

Note: You want to change the buffering type. This can have legal consequences and can also affect performance. Consider carefully the best buffering type for this number range object. SAP Note 504875 ‘Buffering Number Ranges’´contains important information about this.

1. Execute transaction code SNRO. Enter the object name and click on Change.

2. Click Yes if you are getting below message.

Make repairs in foreign namespaces only if they are urgent

3. As an example, we want to change RV_TRANSPO from Main Memory Buffering to No Buffering. So, select No Buffering.

4. Click Yes.

5. Now, go to transaction code SM56 and reset the buffer for object RV_TRANSPO. Done!
