EPM Add-in: Error launching office client: Interface not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040155)

Symptom

You tried to launch the Excel via EPM Add-in from the BPC web admin page but below error message coming out,

Solution

Open the Windows Control Panel, go to Program and Features. Look for Microsoft Office and click on Change. On the next screen, choose Repair. The process will take some times. Once done, you need to restart your laptop / desktop.

Next, launch the Excel from the BPC web page and it should be working fine!
