You might face some of the below scenario while dealing with unclassified transport request.
Scenario 1: Task [Transport Number] is unclassified (it cannot be released)
Scenario 2: Task [Transport Number] is unclassified and cannot be edited.
Solution
For both scenario, the task does not contain any object inside thus, it cannot be release or edit.
To get rid of the error message, you should do one of the following,
Method 1: Change the task type. From Request/Task > Change Type. Choose Development/Correction or Repair.
Method 2: Include objects in the task/request, the SAP System will automatically assigns a type to the task.
