How to Use Gmail with your own Domain

Step 1: Login to your Gmail account and click on Setting.

Step 2: Under Accounts and Import tab, click on Add a mail account (Check mail from other accounts).

Step 3: Enter the email address you would to add. Click Next.

Step 4: Select Import emails from my other account (POP3).

Step 5: Enter the following information below. Click Add Account.

  • All these information can be obtain from your hosting web mail setting.
  • Options for POP server
    • Secure SSL/TLS Settings (port 995)
    • Non-SSL Settings (port 110)

Step 6: Your mail account has been added. You can now retrieve mail from your Gmail.

As addition, you can also send mail as email@YOUR-DOMAIN.com. Choose Yes, I want to be able to send mail email@YOUR-DOMAIN.com

Step 7: Enter information about your other email address. Unchecked Treat as an alias.

Step 8: Configure your email to be sent through YOUR-DOMAIN SMTP servers. Click Add Account.

  • All these information can be obtain from your hosting web mail setting.
  • Options for SMTP server
    • Secure SSL/TLS Settings (port 465)
    • Non-SSL Settings (port 587)

Step 9: Enter and verify the confirmation code.

You are done! You can test send the email / receive email through your own domain name.
