Solution
Follow SAP Note 1790486 – SAP_ABA is in an undefined state that is not safe to be upgraded [VIDEO],
- Stop the upgrade activity
- Reset the SUM progress. You can refer to this article on the detail steps. ** Always refer to the SUM guide for the latest procedure / steps.
- Delete the old SUM folder
- Reset the table buffers with the transaction code /$TAB
- Extract a new SUM. Rename the new SUM to another name i.e SUM2
- Start the upgrade from scratch.

*** Only perform the following steps if you were in one of the Preparation Roadmap steps when you tried to reset the previous upgrade ** DO NOT** perform the following steps if the upgrade has passed the Preparation Roadmap step.
