Cannot process message in SAP System
Message no. XS817
Diagnosis
Processing could not be continued due to a technical or configuration error in the SAP system.
Solution
This error occurs when you send a mail via the SMTP node and can have several causes:
- MIME document related to the message cannot be saved to the location configured for SAPoffice data.
- Default domain not set. ( Refer to SAP Note 3043563 – Error XS817 “Cannot process message in SAP System, Error while automatically determining the default internet domain”)
- Default code page not set (only with multi-codepage systems)
- Code page not suitable for sending mail
- COMMIT WORK is missing (programming error)
- Workplace plug-in is missing
- Please refer to 1593121 – Error XS817 with text “No ESMTP Plug-In Is Available for SAPconnect” occurs in transaction SOST while sending Mails through SMTP node
