SOIN: Display Inbound Messages

Features

Depending on the selection criteria chosen, the program displays send requests received using the SAPconnect interface.

You can enter selection criteria on the tabs above the list. The following columns are displayed by default, alongside the date received and the title:

  • Sender
    • This is the sender in the SMTP envelope (“MAIL FROM:”). This can be a different sender from the sender entered in the “From:” header field. If the SMTP envelope does not contain a sender, the sender in the “From:” header field is displayed.
  • To: Recipient
    • This field displays the addresses found in the header of the received e-mail, in the “To:” field.
  • Internal Recipients
    • This field displays the names of the SAP users detected as internal recipients, and who received the message in the SAP Business Workplace inbox. This field can be empty for the following reasons:
      • The messages are inbound status notifications not forwarded to the original sender.
      • The messages are handled directly by other applications (such as messages from the CRM environment).
      • No internal user was found as a recipient for some other reason.
  • MIME exists
    • Indicates whether a MIME version of the inbound message was saved.

The following functions are available:

  • Display Document
    • Displays the formatted document for the selected send request, as it is displayed in Business Workplace.
  • Display Trace
    • Displays the trace for the selected send request.
  • Display MIME
    • Displays the MIME version (if it exists). You can choose “Display DSN Mime” or “Display MDN MIME” to display the MIME versions of status notifications for the selected send request (if the notifications and their MIME versions exist). You can specify the location of the MIME version by choosing “Utilities” > “MIME Settings”.
  • Resend (“Send Request” menu)
    • Simulates the inbound message (again). This function can only be used if the MIME version exists. You can enter a recipient and sender, and the status requests of the SMTP envelope. This function is intended for troubleshooting by SAP Support.
  • Import MIME (“Utilities” menu)
    • Simulates an inbound MIME document to be uploaded from the front end. This function is intended for troubleshooting by SAP Support.
