You have open a SAPGUI window from the SAP logon, shortcut or via the portal, but the window is not opened to the maximum size.

Launch SAPGUI via SAP Logon
Open the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Window and adjust the registry value of Maximize to 1.

The resolution above involves editing the registry. Please be noted that using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems to your Windows operating system. Please take extra caution when dealing with the registry.
Launch SAPGUI via sapshortcut
As stated in the SAP Note 103019, you need to add the parameter -maxgui in the command line. This will start the SAPGUI into the maximum window.
Launch SAPGUI via Portal’s Iview
Ensure your system is at the appropriate SP Patch level as stated in SAP Note 2358541.
Open the NetWeaver Administration (NWA), navigate to Configuration > Infrastructure > Application Modules and choose the following application name: com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap. Click on “Portal Service Configuration”.
Change the value of “SAP GUI window size” to: Maximized. Once done, start the system to activate the changes.
