You want to rename a job from transaction code SM37
Solution
1. Execute transaction code SM37, enter the job name and press execute.
2. Tick on the job and go to Job > Copy. Enter the new job name and click on Copy.
3. The new job name will be in schedule status. Now, you can adapt all the old job steps, variants into the new job name. Once done you can release your new job and delete the old job.
