1. You can use transaction code SCAL to maintain all the calendar activity in SAP system. Any changes done will be affected on all clients.
2. In the sub-objects tab, you can see 3 options of Public holidays, Holiday calendar and Factory calendar. As an example, Factory calendar will be used for plant shutdown planning, shipping time and etc.
