SM56: Administration of SAP Number Range Buffer

Transaction code SM65 is used to administer the SAP number range buffer. The initial page will show the statistics of the number range buffer.

Buffer Entries

You can display the number of entries buffer by Goto > Entries.

Reset Buffer

Manually resetting or deleting the number range buffer can be done by Goto > Number Range Buffer > Reset. By default, this function will automatically triggered when an interval is changed or deleted in transaction code SNR0 (or in the application-specific number range maintenance). The function will avoid any incorrect numbers which still in the buffer from being assigned. Select on the Global reset if you want to reset on all application servers else, deselect to apply only on the current logged application server.

Check Buffer

The check buffer function will check and determine of any error in the SAP number range buffer. You can achieve this by Goto > Number Range Buffer > Check.
