You can use scanpst.exe, the Outlook Inbox Repair Tool if your .pst data file is corrupted. The tool will check and repair errors in the file.
The scanpst.exe file is located differently based on Microsoft Outlook version.

1. Before using the scanpst.exe, you need to close the Microsoft Outlook. Once closed, you can browse to below directory (for Outlook 2007) and double click to open the file named scanpst.exe.

2. Locate the corrupted .pst file. Click on Start.
3. The scanning will take some time. Once the scan is completed, you will get information on folders, items and any errors that found. Before you start to repair, ensure you make a backup of the scanned file.
4. Wait for below result to complete the Scanpst activity!
