SAP Content & Cache Server Installation Steps

1. Launch the software provisioning manager. Select the content & cache server according to your SAP versions. In this example, the SAP Content & Cache Server is installed without the MaxDB database instance. We are using file system as the storage.

2. Define the software package request location.

3. Select both install Content Server & Cache Server.

4. Enter the website parameter for both SAP Content and Cache Server. The binaries for Content Server (Cache Server) will be installed in Installation Directory\Content Server (Installation Directory\Cache Server). SAP recommends you use HTTP Port number 1090 for the Content Server and 1095 for the Cache Server.

5. Choose ‘Next’ to start with the values shown. Otherwise, select the parameters to be changed and choose ‘Revise’. You are then taken to the screen where you can change the parameter. You might be guided through other screens that have so far been processed.

6. Monitor the installation till complete and you are done!
