In MaxDB database, you can manually add the data area in case the data volume is getting full. Aside to this method, you can also set the data area to be automatically added. We have tested this method using SAP MaxDB Database Studio version 7.9.08.01.
Firstly, launch the SAP MaxDB Database Studio and log in to the database with the required username / password. Right click on the desired database and choose Administration. On this screen page, jump to Data Area tab.
Click on the Dynamic Data Area Adjustment link. Check the option Data Area Extension. Specify a percentage value for the fill level of the data area using the slide controller. When the fill level of the data area exceeds the percentage value, the system will automatically adds a new data volume. Click Activate.
