SAP MaxDB Database Studio is used to administrate the MaxDB database. At the moment, we are using the version 7.9.08.01 which required us to provide the secure storage password before entering the administration pages. Due to some security issues, we have been asked by our clients to change the secure storage passwords every quarterly.
So, how to change it?
Launch the SAP MaxDB Database Studio and go to Window > Preferences.
Navigate to General > Security > Secure Storage and jump to Password tab. Click on Change Password.
Click Next.
Enter the old password of secure storage. Click OK.
Click Next.
Enter the new password of secure storage. Click OK.
[Optional] If you want provide additional information for the password recovery, click Yes. If not, just click No. The new password of secure storage is now complete.
