You want to determine the version of SAP Software Update Manager (SUM) which is downloaded in your server.
There are 2 ways of checking this,
The easiest way without the need to launch the SUM – navigate to the extracted SUM folder and open summanifest with notepad (for Windows operating system) or use command more (for UNIX and LINUX operating system),

Alternatively, if you have already launch the SUM tools, just click the JAVA or ABAP tab and click on More > About.
