Symptom
This is something that always happened to SAP consultants, even to myself! It is troublesome when you need to define the component of your SAP system during the OSS message creation.
Solution
The component is defined as per Search term (issue on your SAP system). As an example, if the issue is with transaction code SUIM. You need to set the component correctly so that SAP can work on the incident smoothly.
1. To define the correct component, login to your SAP system and execute transaction code SE38. In the field name, fill in report RSSTATUS. Key in the information needed, as for this example, the issue is on transaction code SUIM.
2. Once you pressed enter, the next page will prompt you the component area. So, the transaction code SUIM is parked under component BC-SEC
