
In this tutorial, we will show you the steps to reduce video file size using Windows built-in tool, Video Editor. There will be no additional software to download and of course it is free. Yes, everyone like free.
Launch the Video Editor. Click on New video project.

Enter the video name. Click on OK.

Click on Add to add the video.

Next, drag the video from the project library. Then, click on Finish video.

Choose the video quality. Of course to get the smallest size, you can choose Low 540P video quality. For this example, we have choose Medium 720p.

Click on Export and define the target location to save the new video file. The export will take some time, depending on the file size.

You may compare both video size before and after resize once the export is finished. As of this example, on left side is the original video, 3.12GB size and right side, after converted is 212MB. That’s a lot size reduced!
