Internal error – NUMBER_GET_NEXT call error (SU01)

While setting up a new user in transaction code SU01, you encounter a crash with a runtime error titled MESSAGE_TYPE_X.

The error message reads, “Internal error – NUMBER_GET_NEXT call error” (AM885).

Solution

To determine the highest address number that has already been assigned in Business Address Services, please run the report “Z_OSSNOTE_445575” from the SAP Note 445575. If the highest address number that has already been assigned is higher than the NR Status, change the value of the NR Status number in transaction code SA01 to be higher. (for instance, 100).
