Symptom
You want to display the profile content from inactive server using transaction code RZ10. But, following error appears when you try to use the Extended Maintenance function of a not active server:
Server [HOST]_[SID]_[NR is not active – action cannot be executed
Solution
By right, profile import or maintenance can only be executed on active servers.
But, if you still want to display the inactive profile, please follow the steps :-
1. Execute transaction code SE16 and put the table name as TPFET.
2. On the next screen, go to Settings > Fields for Selection. Select below fields – PFNAME, VERSNR, PARNAME, PVALUE.
3. Enter the PFNAME (profile name) and VERSNR (version number). Press Execute (F8) and you can now display the content of the inactive profile.
