Steps to Install SAP Cloud Connector

The Cloud Connector is an optional on-premise component that is needed to integrate on-demand applications with customer back-end services and is the counterpart of SAP Cloud Platform Connectivity.

Launch the https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/#cloud website to download the SAP Cloud Connector. Download the executable based on your operating system.

If the operating system does not have SAP JVM installed, please download the installer from the same URL above.

The SAP JVM is a prerequisite for local profiling with the SAP JVM Profiler. It is a standard compliant certified JDK, supplemented by additional supportability and developer features and extensive monitoring and tracing facilities.

Extract the SAP JVM file and place the folder within the EXE folder.

\usr\sap\SID\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\sapjvm_8

Maintain the environment variable path for JAVA_HOME, pointing to the SAP JVM location above.

Now, double click on SAP Cloud Connector installer to start the installation. Click Next.

Enter the location to install the SAP Cloud Connector.

Accept the default port value. Click Next.

Please select one the of installed JDKs, if your preferred choice is not listed here. Recommended is a Java 8 installation.

Check the option, if you want to start the SAP Cloud Connector after finishing the setup. Click Next.

Click Next to start the installation.

The SAP Cloud Connector is being installed.

The SAP Cloud Connector has been successfully installed. Click close to exit.

Open the https://localhost:8443/. The username is Administrator and the default password is manage.

For first time login, you are required to change your password before being permitted to continue. Choose Master (Primary Installation) for installation type. Click Save.

Installation complete. You can proceed to setup the integration between SAP Cloud Platform and SAP back-end on the premise.
