SUM: sapevents.dll: Access is denied

In the Execution phase of SUM (MAIN_SWITCH/SUBMOD_SWITCH_KERNEL/KX_SWITCH), below error message is prompted,

Last error code set:

Deleting [PATH]\sapevents.dll failed: Access is denied”

Solution

Firstly, try to manually delete the sapevents.dll file from the kernel directory. If it’s unsuccessful, open the Windows services and restart the Windows Event Log service.
