System error when accessing Knowledge Provider

You are getting below error message while working with the knowledge provider,

Solution

Use transaction code SLG1 and enter the object field as SCMS and SDOK. From here, you can pint point where and why the error is occurred. If there are huge logs generated, do filter it by username or by time period.

As per below screenshot, you can see the snippet error message is “HTTP error : 403 Forbidden”.

To get more details information, click on Long Text and Details icon. This will provide more information for you to troubleshoot and get to the resolution.

The detail log below will show you the URL (target host) of which the content server hosted.

So, from the above screenshots, we figure out that the connection was forbidden to the respective URL.

Additional to the above check, most probably the error is occurred to below cases,

  • The content repository is not set up (or not set up correctly) – see transaction OAC0.
  • Antivirus rejects the entry.
  • Inconsistency in table SDOKPROF.
