
Symptom
You are launching the screen painter from the SAP system. Unfortunately, the screen painter does not coming out.

Tips
Go to transaction code SM59 and do the connection test on EU_SCRP_WN32. The connection is parked under TCP/IP Connection.
Solution
There are multiple possibilities that caused the issue. Perhaps, you can try below solutions,
• Test the screen painter with your colleague laptop. Compare the SAP GUI version and consider to use the updated SAPGUI version if necessary.
• Firewall / Antivirus software
Check your firewall and antivirus from blocking the screen painter. Disable them if required.
• Go to transaction code SM59, look for EU_SCRP_WN32 (under the TCP/IP Connection) and increase / set the CPI-C Timeout.
• If you are connected to the SAP system using SAProuter. Please check the SAPROUTTAB permission on port 33XX. Do allow the connection on port 33XX.
• Go to transaction code SE80. Navigate to Utilities > Settings. Jump to Screen Painter tab and tick the box Graphical Layout Editor.
