Export / Import Table RFCDOC & V_TBDLS via Transport of Copies

Symptom

You are performing the system/database refresh and you want to preserve the tables RFCDOC & V_TBDLS of the target system. Then, you need to import back both tables after the refresh is completed.

Solution

1. Execute transaction code SE01.

2. Choose Create (F6) and select Transport of Copies.

3. Fill in the appropriate information during the Create Request. Enter the Short Description & Target.

4. Once saved, you will be getting the transport number. Noted the transport number for import process later.

5. Double click on the transport number request, fill in the information as below and press Enter. You will see icon key under the Function tab.

• Program ID = R3TR, Object Type = VDAT, Object Name = V_TBDLS
• Program ID = R3TR, Object Type = TABU, Object Name = RFCDOC

6. Next, click on the icon key for V_TBDLS and enter the value as per below. For RFCDOC, you can follow the second screenshot . You will be getting error while saving, just accept Yes.

7. Now, you can release the transport and ensure both data and cofile are generated.

8. To import back, use transaction code STMS with the transport request as on step 4.
