Open the registry editor and navigate to following tree,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet
> Control > Power
Double click on HibernateEnabled, enter the Value data = 0. This will disable the hibernate option in Windows 7 and Windows 8. To enable back, change the Value data = 1.
