Symptom
You are executing transaction code RSA1 and end up with below error,
Error during internal number assignment for port names
Message no. E0551
Diagnosis
An internal number could not be assigned for the number ’01’ for the
number range object EDIPORT.Procedure
Please check whether the number range object EDIPORT is available with
the interval ’01’ for internal number assignment.o If it is not yet available, then create the interval.
o If the interval is available, a Basis error must be involved. In
this case, please contact your administration and, if necessary, the SAP Hotline.
Solution
1. Execute transaction code OYSM. Enter the Object as EDIPORT and click Change.
2. You will prompt to create the transport request. Fill in all the required information.
3. You will be route to below screen once the transport request created. Now, click on Ranges.
4. Click on Intervals (with the pencil icon – change mode).
5. Enter the intervals as following and press Save. You will now able to execute transaction code RSA1.
