
1. From your Internet Explorer, go to Internet Options and jump to Content tab. From here, click on the Certificates. Look for which certificate you wanted to convert to .cer.
2. Double click on the certificate and go to Details tab. Click on Copy to File.
3. The below Certificate Export Wizard will prompt out. Click on Next.
4. If your certificate contains private key, then – select No, do not export the private key. Click on Next.
5. Choose Base-64 encoded X.509 (.CER). Click Next.
6. Finally, locate the location which you want to place the .cer file. Click Next.
7. Click Finish and you will get the message “The export was successful”.
