RSUSR050: Comparisons for Users, Roles, Profiles & Authorization (Internal / Across Systems)

You can use the report RSUSR050 to compare two user master records, roles, profiles or authorizations in the internal system or in different systems.

You can also compare composite roles. As a result, the system first displays a list of the single roles. It then displays a comparison of the authorization objects.

The following description assumes that two users are compared with each other. The procedure is the same for roles, profiles, and authorizations. The user master records are broken down to authorization field level and compared.

If you choose Execute, you will get a comparison of the authorization objects of both users, divided into different objects (red traffic light), different values (yellow traffic light), and identical values (green traffic light).

  • In the case of different objects, the authorization object is only listed under the user whose user master record contains the authorization object.
  • Different values means that, although both users have authorizations for the same object, the values are different.

To compare these values, select the appropriate line and choose ‘Execute’ (or double-click the line).

The authorizations from different profiles are broken down and sorted by authorization fields. The authorization values for an object are grouped according to their content and displayed as ‘value combinations’. In the first two columns, a red or a green traffic light indicates which of the two users has this value combination.

If you do comparison across systems, you will need to maintain RFC destination for both systems.
