CNV_LTHCM_TAB_SEARCH_01: Search for HCM Tables via General Criteria

You can use this report, CNV_LTHCM_TAB_SEARCH_01 to search for tables that are relevant for your project, for example to identify tables that you may want to include in a transfer, or that you may want to delete. You can specify search criteria to search for tables. Alternatively, you can use transaction code CNV_LTHCM_TAB_SEARCH.

Note: Execute this report in the system that contains the tables that you are looking for.

You specify search criteria in order to search for tables. You can use the following tabs to specify search criteria.

HCM Package

HCM packages are those created by SAP Landscape Transformation in order to realize an HCM-related transformation solution that involves the transfer or deletion of data (for example SAP LT ERP HCM System Merge).

On this tab, you can restrict the search to an HCM package, that is, only tables from a specific package will be returned by the search.

If you want to restrict the search to a specific package, enter the package number in the HCM Package ID field, and specify whether the package involves the transfer of data (for example if the package is based on the transformation solution SAP LT ERP System Merge) or the deletion of data (for example if the package is based on the transformation solution SAP LT ERP HCM Data Deletion) by selecting either the option Use Transfer Package or Use Deletion Package.

You must also specify an RFC destination to the control system so that the report can access the required information about the package.

If required, you can also use the following options:

  • Tables Excluded from Package
    • The package contains a list of tables that are to be transferred or deleted. By selecting this option, the search will not return tables that are in that list.
  • Tables Included in Package
    • The package contains a list of tables that are to be transferred or deleted. By selecting this option, the search will only return tables that are in that list.

If you do not want to restrict the search to a package, choose the option Do Not Use Package. The search will cover all tables in the system (you can further restrict the search by using the options in the other tabs).

General Table Properties

On this tab, you can specify general information about the tables you are searching for. You can specify the following information:

  • Table Name
    • The name of the table or tables that you are searching for. Note that if you do not enter any value in this field, the report will return all tables that satisfy the search conditions that you specify using the report.
  • Client Information
    • You can limit the search to client-specific tables, cross-client tables, or both.
  • Delivery Class
    • You specify a delivery class, for example Application Table or Customizing Table.

HCM Tables

On this tab, you can restrict the search to specific HCM tables. You can select the following options,

  • Personnel Administration (PA) Infotype Tables
  • Personnel Development (PD) Infotype Tables
  • Table infotypes (tables usually prefixed with #HRT#, for example HRT1002, HRT1222)
    • Relevant for Personnel Development (PD)
  • Tables Containing Relationships Attributes
    • Relevant for Personnel Development (PD)

Fields and Types

On this tab, you can specify information about fields and types for the tables that you are searching for. You can specify the following information:

  • Field Names
    • The report will only search for tables that contain the field names that you specify here.
  • Type
    • You can specify data element, domains, and data types to search for tables. For example, you can search for all the tables that use a specific data element. Note that the fields in this section are combined with the logical operator OR.

Software

On this tab, you can restrict the search to specific application components or software packages. Note that every software package has an application component.

  • Application Component
    • You can limit the search to specific application components, for example Financial Accounting (FI) or Sales and Distribution (SD).
  • Software Package
    • You can limit the search to specific software packages, for example PCAL.

If you specify a software package (or packages), you can widen the search to include all associated subpackages. To do this specify the name of the packages for which you want to include the subpackages in the Software Package field under Include Subpackages.

Content

You can limit the search to tables that contain content, empty tables, or both. When you have specified the relevant search criteria, choose Execute.

Output

The system returns a list of the tables that match the search criteria that you specify. You can also view the following information:

  • Whether the table is empty or not.
  • The software package that contains the table.
  • The application component that contains the table.
  • The delivery class of the table.
  • Whether the table is client-specific or cross-client.

Activities

In the output screen, you can navigate to the table definition (transaction SE11) and to the table content (transaction SE16).
