You use this function to schedule XML message archiving (archiving object BC_XMB).
Parameter
- Parallel Processing
The number of archiving jobs (archiving runs) that can be created simultaneously. Corresponds to the value of the configuration parameter ARCHIVE_PARALLEL in the ARCHIVE category in the Integration Engine. Valid values are between 1 – 99. The recommended maximum value is n-1 where n is the number of batch processes that are available in the system.
- User
User name with which the archiving runs are actually executed.
- Start Date/Time
Details about the planned start of the archiving runs, for example, the date and duration.
- Spool Parameter
Parameters for the archiving log printout.
Function
- Schedule Archiving
The system generates a background job SAP_BC_XMB_ARCHIVE that starts according to the specified start conditions and that starts the archiving jobs (archiving runs) themselves.
- Archive Administration
Archive administration of object BC_XMB. Used to display archiving runs, statistics for the archives created, settings for the archiving object, or messages from the archive.
- Jobs
Displays the executed and scheduled background jobs SAP_BC_XMB_ARCHIVE[client]. The jobs are displayed in the selection screen of the job selection. You can also change the display settings here (for example, you can change the time period to display different jobs).
- Archive Migration
Migrating management data of archive administration for object BC_XMB. Migration is necessary when moving an archive to another system or another client. After migrating the archive only the archive runs are visible in the archive administration in the target system. The archive files have to be physically moved for the archived data also to be displayed.
