You can enable the usage of SAP* by activating the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar in transaction code RZ10. Default value is set to 1. In order to activate this, you need to set to 0. You need to restart the SAP to apply the changes.
via Operating System
Another way to activate the SAP* usage is via operating system level. Here, you need to add the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 in the default profile text file. The profile directory can be found in /usr/sap/SID/SYS/profile. You need to restart the SAP to apply the changes.
