Use this procedure when you suspect the user information associated with the user’s session is not up to date. The user management engine (UME) stores user information in a cache. The UME refreshes the cache of a user automatically after the user has been logged in for about an hour. Use the procedure below to force a refresh of the cache. Depending on the number of users logged on to the system, invalidating the caches across the entire cluster can affect system performance.
Open your AS Java portal. Go to User Management.

Choose Configuration > Support. Invalidate the cache for a node or the cluster.
• To refresh the cache of a particular user or a particular iframe you are working with, click Invalidate Local Instance Caches.
• To refresh the cache of all users on the cluster, click Invalidate Cluster-Wide Caches.
