Symptom

Reason: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE:
No RFC authorization for function module RFCPING.

Solution

1. Logon to the ABAP back end and execute transaction code SU01. Verify and confirm that the UME ABAP is maintained with one of the following role (SAP advise to named the UME ABAP user as SAPJSF). Go to transaction code PFCG and confirm the profiles is generated to the user.

2. Save and restart the AS Java.
