Download
1. Download the VirtualBox installation file (download both packages & extension pack).
Installation
2. Double click the VirtualBox installation file. Click Next.
3. Choose the default settings. Click Next.
4. Click Next again (this page just show the shortcut creation for Desktop & Quick Launch Bar).
5. Click Yes.
6. The next page will start the installation. Click Install. Please wait till the installation is complete. Once completed, you can continue to install the extension pack installer.
Virtual Machine Setup
7. Open the VirtualBox. Click New and fill in the Name. You can select the operating system type and version. Then, click Next.
8. Set the memory size. VirtualBox will automatically provide the recommended value (green vs red mark line) but you still can increase or decrease the memory size value accordingly. Click Next.
9. Select “Create a virtual hard drive now”. Click Create and on the next page, choose “VDI (VirtualBox Disk Image)”
10. Define whether you choose Dynamically allocated (drive file will grow as it is used) or Fixed size (maximum size created with no grow) options. As for this example, dynamically allocated option selected.
11. Set the file location and size and choose Create.
12. You are done!
