In MSSQL Server, you can add the new/additional backup device type. You can select to choose the backup to tape or disk.
1. Open the MSSQL Server Management Studio. In the Object Explorer, expand the Server Objects. Right click on Backup Devices, select Properties and choose New Backup Device.
2. Here, you can put the device name and define the destination as Tape or File (disk).
