You can turning off the Windows 7 explorer search history by using below steps.
1. Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Policies > Microsoft > Windows > Explorer.
2. Create a new DWORD value name of DisableSearchBoxSuggestions and set the value from 0 to 1.
